Katie received her Master of Education degree in school counseling in 2002, after teaching kindergarten and third grade for five years. She has been a licensed school counselor in Rutherford County since 2002 and is now back in graduate school to earn her Licensed Professional Counselor with a Mental Health Service Provider designation. She is currently serving as a counseling intern at Branches. Katie enjoys working with young children and teens in a variety of situations such as anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment, grief, and more.

Katie was born and raised in Tennessee and enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, two grown sons, and daughter-in-law.
